Lenovo Laptop ThinkPad X1 Fold | Worlds First Foldable Laptop

At the CES 2020 (Consumer Electronics Show), Lenovo debuted with the World's first foldable Lenovo Laptop, the ThinkPad X1 Fold. 

 The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold Laptop is the first of its kind laptop. It sports an LG-made 13.3 inches of flexible plastic OLED display. If you want to make the most out of this laptop's screen, you might want to use it in the landscape mode.

Lenovo has now unveiled the complete details of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold, the teaser of which was taken out in the month of May 2019. The Lenovo laptop has been designed so as to offer unmatchable productivity. At the same time, it will bring a new form factor that will aid in reimagining the whole system of mobile computing. It can be transformed into multiple modes such as a small footprint device to a full 13.3 inches display which helps the device in increasing the efficiency as well as smartphone portability.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold price is set at $2,499 (roughly Rs. 1,79,400).

 X1 Fold offers complete durability and reliability that will impress its users. The device has been built using lightweight alloys and carbon fiber. It is covered with a sleek looking leather folio cover.  Lenovo laptop has been Co-engineered with Intel and powered by the Intel® Core™ Processors with Intel® Hybrid Technology. Initially, the ThinkPad X1 Fold will be available with the Windows 10 by the mid-2020. After some time, the company is planning to make it available in Windows 10X which will enhance the foldable user experience. Further, it also offers the optional 5G connectivity which will provide for new ways of working anywhere and anyhow you want.

 According to the research, the users are found to frequently switch between various devices including phones, tablets, and laptops.  Evidently, they are seeking a device that can adapt and comes with different capabilities and benefits. The X1 Fold is a new kind of lightweight device that is compact and can be slipped into any small size bags. At the same time, there is no compromise when it comes to either the performance or the size of the screen. The laptop is truly one of its kind.

 Mr. Christian Teismann, the President of Commercial PC and Smart Device Business at Lenovo said in a statement, “Creating the world’s first foldable PC has been a major engineering challenge, but Lenovo is more thrilled about the task.” He further added, “Our legendary ThinkPad heritage has provided us with the needed foundation for progressive designing over the years to now being able to build an engineering masterpiece with the X1 Fold, a new type of category of a device that comes once in a decade.”

 Mr. Gregory Bryant, the Intel Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Client Computing Group has said in a statement, “Our longstanding partnership with Lenovo helps us to continue pushing the boundaries of PC experiences and designing.” He further added, “The collaboration between our teams has been amazing, and the co-engineering work we’ve done at the platform level has had clearly superb results with this unique, foldable-screen PC.”

 The ThinkPad X1 Fold is perfect for an office environment. It can easily be connected to a full-size keyboard and a mouse and a second display as well. This can be connected via a USB Type-C cable and can place the device in the optional ThinkPad X1 Fold Stand either in the portrait or the landscape mode. The users get to enjoy the benefits of a complete desk solution.

 The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold will be priced at $2,499 (Rs. 1,79,400). The launch date of the X1 Fold is not known as yet. But it is expected to launch by mid-2020. Also, the complete details regarding global pricing as well as the availability of the laptop will soon be announced.

 Lenovo has claimed that it has done work on the ThinkPad X1 Fold for more than four years. The company has also inspected four primary designs and six hinge designs with the aim to provide a durable and reliable laptop.

 Lenovo has entered into a partnership with LG Display to produce a flexible display. On the other hand, a team from Intel has helped the ThinkPad engineers in finding the solutions to the various hinge-related challenges. In the portrait orientation, you can take notes or draw sketches using the Active Pen in the X1 Fold.

 The company has also manufactured a ThinkPad X1 Fold Stand. The Stand will be made available from mid-2020. This will help the user to enjoy a desktop-like experience by keeping the device in a portrait or landscape mode. Lenovo has also manufactured a new Bluetooth Mini Fold Keyboard. This keyboard can be attached to the X1 Fold which helps the user during long-hour typing.
