Apple iOS 12 could bring these new features to your iPhone

Basing mainly on what Apple has unofficially announced we can expect iOS 12 to offer major improvement to performance and stability. But there's sure to be

Apple is yet to announce a next version of the mobile operating system until June's WWDC event, however there is already quite a lot of speculation about what iOS 12 will come ready with for iPhone users. We already know that Apple will focus on performance and quality as always, but that doesn't mean there won't be any new feature. The iOS 12 is dubbed as the next version of iOS as it will be the operating system that works on all iPhones and iPads.

Basing mainly on what Apple has unofficially announced we can expect iOS 12 to offer major improvement to performance and stability. But there's sure to be some amazing new additions too, and rumors already include the much awaited AirPlay 2, Face ID, and the impending fusion of iOS and macOS.

So, if you are in possession of an Apple iPhone or iPad these are some of the best guesses that could come out of the next iOS.

According to the report mentioned above, Apple was planning

  1. A new take on the home screen.

  2. A newly designed CarPlay interface.

  3. Improvement to Apple mailing service and other core apple apps.

  4. Updated photo experience including the Camera and Gallery apps.

  5. Improvements in stability and additional bug fixes

  6. Improved parental controls.

  7. New and Better augmented reality.

  8. Performance enhancement

  9. Guest Mode that allows access to emergency apps like Maps.

  10. Multiple countdown timers in a single setting.

  11. Safari update with fast links at the top of the screen and the search bar moved to the bottom.

  12. Multiple screens to view multiple apps using split screen.

  13. Conference call of new generation (at least 4 people) using Facetime.

  14. Dark mode that inverts color on the display which also boosts battery life.

While it might not appear like much, the one big change here is the home screen. Apple hasn’t made any noteworthy change to the home screen in years. It has extra folders, a page full of widgets, and changed the lock screen, but a serious refurbishment of the home screen is really behind schedule.

Other extra perks arriving include the new Health Records feature which brings together hospitals, elderly homes, patient clinics and the existing Health app to make it easy for apple users to see all the accessible medical data from several sources.

Also there's an update to Apple Music or iTunes which the firm says will soon be home for music videos. iPhone or iPad users will also be able to stream all the music videos they want without being broken up by adds. They can also watch the latest new videos, the classics or ones from their favorite artists back-to-back in new music video playlists.

Finally, Apple News will be upgraded to make it easier to stay updated on the most important videos of the day with a new Video group in For You, and is also adding together a Business Chat option within its Messages app which lets users communicate directly with businesses.

There's no official launch date for the iOS but it's expected to arrive in the upcoming months.
