Spotify uses ChatGPT maker OpenAI's tech to launch AI DJ

Spotify has indicated that the DJ uses its personalization technology to give music recommendations to listeners, based on what they like. The feature uses generative artificial intelligence, courtesy of OpenAI technology, the company behind ChatGPT.

According to the post, AI DJ will sort through a user's recent listens, look at old favorites, and review what they're enjoying. It will then present a set of curated songs, constantly updated based on feedback.

Listeners will also have the option to "change" if they are not satisfied with the arrangement. Spotify stated: "The more you listen and tell the DJ what you like (and don't like!), the better your recommendations will be from him."

The DJ feature began rolling out in English for Spotify Premium users in the US and Canada.
