Ahead of the billion-day big sale, Flipkart has opened pre-bookings for some of the deals it will offer in the festive sale. The e-retailer says that some of its upcoming deals can be booked in advance between October 11 and October 14.

To pre-book the deal, consumers will need to pay Re 1 token amount. After the deal opens on October 15 for Flipkart Plus members or on October 16 for regular users, consumers who pre-booked a deal will have 24 hours to make the remaining payment.

Interestingly, a bank offering SBI cardholders would receive a 10 percent discount on most offers that would not be viable if the consumer booked the offer. Flipkart notes on its support page: "The bank offer will not apply to pre-booked items, even if the combined value of the items qualify for the bank offer. Bank offers cannot be combined with this early-booking offer."

Another key point to keep in mind is that not all offers can be booked in advance. This method can only use the offers available on the pre-booking page. This means that many of the popular offers are not part of the Advance Purchase offer. For example, Flipkart will sell the Galaxy S20 + for Rs. 49,999 on Big Billion Days Sale, but this deal is not open for pre-booking.

Most of the offers open for pre-booking are clothing, shoes, kitchen appliances and appliances, etc.

Flipkart and Amazon are preparing for the start of Christmas sales. While Flipkart will launch its ceremonial sale from October 16-21, Amazon will begin selling it from October 17, and the company has yet to reveal an end date. There are reports that Amazon's top Indian Christmas sales will run for a month.
