NEW DELHI: India's leading telecom company Reliance Jio Infocomm has announced a partnership with California-based Plume to offer smart home and small business services to nearly 200 million subscribers across India, leveraging Plume's cloud platform.
“With this new partnership, Jio will deploy 'HomePass' and 'WorkPass' consumer services enabled by Plume's AI-powered cloud-based platform, including whole-home adaptive WiFi, connected devices to optimize app and device performance, And protection from cyber threats to computers. “Connected devices, advanced parental controls, WiFi motion detection and more," the operator said in a statement on Wednesday.
Additionally, Jio's support and operations teams will have access to Plume's 'Haystack' operations and support suite. This suite aids in quicker identification and resolution of performance issues more quickly, makes it easier to locate network errors, and provides insights into the customer experience.
The partnership will complement the carrier’s JioFiber and JioAirFiber networks, said Matthew Oommen, President, Reliance Jio, adding that cutting-edge and scalable platforms from partners like Plume will enhance and strengthen these services. The partnership will allow delivery of AI-enhanced in-home services on both JioFiber and JioAirFiber.
“Our ability to deliver a tailored and highly scalable cloud-based solution to meet the needs of the Indian market will allow Jio to rapidly expand its service offerings,” Plume's chief revenue officer Adrian Fitzgerald said.
