Google launches new AR features to shop for beauty products and shoes on Google, including a photo library for users to find a foundation shade and a way to view sneakers in your space.
Foundation is the most searched category in makeup. It's also one of the most personal products you can buy, Google said in a blog post: A slight change in color or shade can make a world of difference.
With the help of beauty brands, the new Google Photos library features 148 models representing a variety of skin tones, ages, genders, face shapes, ethnicities, and skin types.
To use this feature, the user will need to Google the foundation shade in a variety of prices and brands, such as "Clinique Even Better Foundation," according to the blog.
Users will then see what this foundation looks like on models with a similar skin tone, including before and after shots, to help them decide which works best for them.
Furthermore, the new feature also allows users to experience 3D products and augmented reality.
Users can rotate, zoom, and view the shoes in their space when deciding if the color, laces, sole, or sole fit their style.
The blog added that users will need to search for a type of shoe, such as "shop blue VANS shoes," and then click "view in my space."
