Infosys announced on Wednesday said it will acquire Denmark-based BASE Life Science for around 110 million euros (Rs 875 crore) in an all-cash deal. The acquisition will deepen Infosys' life sciences expertise and strengthen its presence across Europe.
“This acquisition enhances Infosys' expertise in deep life sciences, further expands our footprint in the Nordic region and across Europe, and extends our digital transformation capabilities with cloud-based industry solutions.

The deal is expected to close during the second quarter of the current fiscal year.
BASE brings to Infosys domain experts with commercial, medical, digital, clinical, organizational and quality knowhow.

It places a strong emphasis on data and artificial intelligence, and the ability to connect and integrate business logic and technology, resulting in knowledge for validating optimal results.”
"The company has around 200 of the industry's best multidisciplinary experts in Denmark, Switzerland, the UK, Germany, France and Italy, and an offshore technology center in Spain," the filing said.
In collaboration with Infosys, BASE will expand its portfolio of expertise in the consumer health, animal health, medical technology and genomics sectors.
