On International Women's Day, the State Bank of India (SBI) will offer further home loan interest rate reductions for women borrowers. Country`s Top lender said in a tweet: "On Women's Day, we make it special with an additional concession of 5 bps * for women borrowers and interest starting at 6.70% * onwards."
On March 1, the SBI lowered the interest rate on home loans. The bank now offers an interest concession of up to 70 basis points with interest rates from 6.70% onwards. This offer is for a limited period ending March 31. The lender also grants a 100% waiver on the processing fee. The interest concession depends on the loan amount and the borrower's CIBIL score. SBI believes that it is important to offer better rates to customers who maintain a good repayment history. SBI offers a variety of different home loans to its clients.
Customers can also easily apply from home through the YONO app to receive an additional benefit of 5 basis points.
In February 2021, SBI reached another milestone by crossing the SBI, International Women's Day, SBI offers special concession to women borrowers, SBI home loans, SBI home loan interest rates Rs 5 trillion (Rs 5 lakh crore) mark in its home loan business. The bank has set out to secure a Rs 7 trillion home loan by the fiscal year 2024.
Other lenders such as ICICI Bank, Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC), and Kotak Mahindra Bank have lowered interest rates on home loans.
