HSRP and the color-coded decal reservation process have been streamlined to assist vehicle owners, while reducing the number of fields to complete the order form in half.

  • The reservation portal www.bookmyhsrp.com has been integrated with the Vahan database as a result, once the customer enters the vehicle number, the application obtains the data duly verified for the vehicle class, fuel type, body number (VIN number), and engine number.
  • The integration reduced steps from 12 to just six, while reducing the time to apply HSRP and color-coded signs. Customers will now have to enter only the last five digits of the chassis and engine number while booking HSRP.
  • In case the data does not match, the customer now has the option to upload the RC image and the front and rear license plates (for the laser code while reserving the color-coded label).
  • The company has also released separate helpline numbers and email addresses for public inquiries and specific complaints regarding the installation of HSRP at dealerships and during a home delivery.
  • The numbers are toll-free for general inquiries: 18001200201, email: online@bookmyhsrp.com; The Merchant Point Complaint Helpline number, 8929722201, email-griertain@bookmyhsrp.com; Home delivery complaint hotline number, 8929722202, email: homegriertain@bookmyhsrp.com.

HSRP number plates

Meanwhile, vehicles without HSRP and tagging are being fined Rs. 5,500 in Delhi.

Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Jahlut asked stakeholders earlier this week to provide unique reference numbers for complaints related to the installation of HSRP and colored labels on vehicles and to resolve complaints in three or more four business days.

The Minister directed officials to simplify the comprehensive complaints mechanism and assign a unique reference number to each complaint. The Transportation Department said in a statement that the Supreme Court ordered all states to ensure that color-coded and HSRP stickers are installed on vehicles to increase safety and facilitate fuel identification.
