The company stated that Indian users can now get early access to new features including GPT-4 starting today.
The company's chief executive, Sam Altman, tweeted on Friday that the company loves India. He also shared OpenAI's tweet, which reads: "We love India. Great news! Subscriptions to ChatGPT Plus are now offered in India. Get early access to new features including GPT-4 today: https://chat.openai.com".
OpenAI unveiled GPT-4, a more potent variation of the ChatGPT technology, in a blog post on Tuesday. The blog said the updated chatbot is "more creative and collaborative" than previous versions when it comes to tasks like composing songs or writing scripts.
Through data sharing partnerships, pushed by companies like Morgan Stanley and Duolingo Inc. to access it. Also, it will be made available to ChatGPT Plus customers who pay 20 dollars per month for faster, more accessible service. It is not yet available for those using the free service.
GPT-4, a recently created language model by OpenAI, can produce text that closely matches human speech. This latest iteration is an update to the existing ChatGPT, which is based on GPT-3.5 technology. GPT stands for Generative Pretraining Transformer, which is a deep learning method that uses artificial neural networks to produce human-like typing.
OpenAI claims that GPT-4 is further along in three important areas, namely creativity, visual comprehension, and context handling. GPT-4 is said to be much better than its predecessor in terms of creativity, both in terms of creating users and collaborating with them on creative projects. This includes music, technical writing scenarios, and even adapting to the user's writing style.
The capacity of GPT-4 to handle broader settings has also been enhanced by OpenAI in addition to creative and visual input. The new language model can now process up to 25,000 words of user text or even interact with the text of a user-provided web link. This enhanced capability can help create long-form content and facilitate "long conversations."
GPT-4 is also optimized to handle images as the basis for interaction. OpenAI provided an example on its website where a chatbot is given an image of a bread ingredient and asked what can be done with it. It is not clear if GPT-4 can also process video in the same way.
