Leading airport services company, Air India SATS Airport Services Private Limited (AISATS), has been selected by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL) to design, build, finance and operate an 87-acre Multimodal Integrated Cargo Center (MMCH) at the nearby Noida International Airport in Jawar, Uttar Pradesh.

The ground handling services division of Air India is called Air India SATS. The intermodal cargo hub at Noida International Airport will be equipped with integrated process-based systems and connectivity options to serve the growing logistics demand in the country. A "Letter of Award" (LOA) was presented to AISATS at the UP Global Investor Summit.

The cargo hub will be the first of its kind in India and will consist of an Integrated Cargo Terminal (ICT) and an Integrated Warehousing and Logistics Zone (IWLZ). ICT will handle national and international shipments with dedicated terminals. It will also manage courier shipments and will have a cold port facility for medicines and temperature-sensitive products.

"We are certain that MMCH would genuinely serve as the entrance to North India. MMCH will reinvent cargo storage in India and become the new industry standard, "said AISATS CEO Sanjay Gupta.

Noida Airport is being developed by YIAPL, a wholly owned subsidiary of Zurich International Airport, in partnership with the Government of Uttar Pradesh and the Government.

According to YIAPL, Noida International Airport will set a new standard for digital airports by implementing the latest technology to facilitate smooth and mostly contactless travel through the airport.

The passenger terminal will include criteria such as short and efficient passenger flows and a commitment to minimal environmental impact. It will be a digital airport that will enable contactless travel and personalized services for families, seniors and business travelers.
