Imaging products company Nikon India enters Healthcare sector with its microscopy systems products business. The news was announce by the company on Tuesday.
The company has launched a scanning confocal microscope (AXR Point) that has the ability to provide a 25mm field of view in a single shot, helping researchers generate more accurate statistical data during imaging, it said. Nikon India in a statement.
It added that the product is targeted at leading research institutes and research centers funded and established by the Government of India, academic educational institutions and clinical centers like hospitals and medical research institutes to promote research and development in medicine.
“We plan to install the AXR system in some research institutes in India, namely IIT Bhilai, IIT Mumbai and ACTREC Mumbai to name a few,” said Sajan Kumar, General Manager of Nikon India.
The microscopy business offers great potential, he said, "and we are very optimistic about its growth prospects... Our projected annual sales volume for FY22-23 will be around 5 per cent of Nikon's operations in India. and we expect it to grow another 10 percent by the end of next year."
In addition, the introduction of "artificial intelligence" in the program solves a series of search problems with reduced time. "Nikon's NIS Elements Core microscopy software provides the perfect solution for researchers by supporting third-party products," the company said in a statement. Elantis Healthcare is launched in New Delhi.
The company offers "General microscope, IVF station, and systemic microscope solutions" among its healthcare products. He said the microscopy market in India is expected to expand at a rate of 7-10 percent during the same period.
