Data center company Yotta Infrastructure said on Monday that it will invest INR 39,000 crore in Uttar Pradesh over the next five to seven years, a senior official said.
The Hiranandani Group has committed to invest under a Memorandum of Understanding signed with the UP Government.
At the launch event for the Yotta D1 data center, Darshan Hiranandani, Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board Darshan Hiranandani said that the investments will go towards the construction of the data center campus and the purchase of IT and other hardware by of Yotta and its customers.
"We will see investment of Rs 39,000 crore in and around this campus. The first building has already been completed... We have started work on two more buildings which will be completed in 12-15 months. We will build one building every 18 months, Hirandani said.
The committed investment includes the investment for the Yotta D1.
Sunil Gupta, Co-Founder and CEO of Yotta Infrastructure, said, "Each data center will cost Rs 6,500 crore. The investment for six data centers. We have already started work on D2 and DE which will be ready in 12-15 months".
The company has established a large-scale data center, Yotta D1, in Greater Noida Data Center Park, with an investment of around Rs 1,500 crore.
Additionally, the groundbreaking ceremony for the next two data center buildings, Yotta D2 and D3, was held during the launch event.
The company will make an additional investment of Rs 5,000 crores in IT equipment in the Yotta D1.
Yotta D1 claims to have the capacity to house 5,000 racks across seven floors of servers and provides 48-hour fail-safe backup at full load.
The Greater Utah Data Center Noida park spans over 20 acres and will offer a total capacity of 30,000 racks, 4 dedicated fiber lanes and 160MW IT power capacity.
