It has been a month that the app has been around and a new feature has started showing up in the app. The company is rolling out a green badge of verification to the Business app and the verified badges are being assigned to select accounts. The green badges are given after the verification of the contact information of the business and it is similar to Twitter. It is given to make the account look trustworthy to the contacts. Users can do nothing to earn the badge. The chat app has its own verification method and it verifies the account based on its own parameters and assigns the green badge. Whatsapp will take its own time to verify the account and then assign the badge. Users need not send a request to Whatsapp or send them documents to demonstrate that the business exists.

The WhatsApp Business app comes with business focused features like an option to create a business profile, landline/fixed number support and offers away messages to inform the contacts when you are unavailable. You can use WhatsApp Business and WhatsApp Messenger on the same phone but both the apps should have its unique phone number.
