Credit Suisse to hire over 1,000 IT employees in India in 2021

Mumbai: Credit Suisse plans to hire more than 1,000 IT employees in India this year said a company statement issued on Tuesday.

The Swiss bank said the hires will comprise developers and engineers with capabilities in emerging technologies such as cybersecurity, data analytics, cloud, API development, machine learning, and artificial intelligence that are anchored in Agile and DevOps delivery methods, to support the bank’s digital aspirations.

Over the past three years, the lender has hired 2000 IT employees to continue its growth strategy in India and leveraging the large pool of qualified technology talent available in India to enhance its in-house core capabilities.

“As we continue to strengthen our presence in India, we want to attract the best IT talent to join our vibrant community of professionals. We provide our employees with a dynamic environment that encourages skill development, knowledge sharing, and opportunities for engineers and developers,” said Prashant Bhatnagar, Senior Director, Global Technology Recruitment. As the second wave of the covid-19 pandemic took hold of the nation, Credit Suisse committed 7.5 crores ($ 1 million) to help Concern India and GiveIndia to help hospitals in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, and Bengaluru purchase medical supplies. In addition to a fundraising drive, a separate donation from his staff has raised more than 2.8 crores ($ 370,000) for the Jeff India Coronavirus Response Fund in India.
