Reliance JioFiber customers will have the option to choose a new offer from the carrier. Reliance Jio has launched new broadband plans that are almost as cheap as prepaid mobile plans. The company has launched new broadband plans starting at Rs 399 and these plans will have no data usage limit.

With the new plans, the Netflix app will also come with some mid-range plans. According to a statement issued by the company, these plans will be rolled out from September.

Whereas, older JioFiber plans have a monthly data usage limit. Once this limit is reached, the speed drops dramatically to 1 Mbps. A minimum plan of 399 will provide a download speed and upload speed of  30 megabits per second (Mbps).

In addition, Reliance Jio will also provide a free 30-day trial of 150 Mbps plans with a subscription to 10 over-the-top apps.

The new plans announced for 999 will provide access to 11 OTT apps, including Amazon Prime Video, Disney Hotstar, Zee5, Sony Liv, and the $ 1,499 plan will come bundled with Netflix.

Jio said subscription to the top 12 paid apps will be available to customers "at no additional cost."

"All existing JioFiber customer plans will be updated to match the benefits of the new rate plans," the statement read.

"We want to bring fiber to every home and empower every member of the family. After making India the largest and fastest-growing country in mobile connectivity with Jio, JioFiber will lead India to world leadership in broadband, thus providing broadband to more than 1,600 cities and towns," Jio Director Akash Ambani said.
