One Moto India has partnered with Royal Sundaram General Insurance

One Moto India, an electric car manufacturer, announced on Tuesday that it has collaborated with Royal Sundaram General Insurance Co Ltd for auto insurance covers. Customers of One Moto India will be able to add on a wrap waiver to their motor policies supplied by the brand, allowing them to claim the entire amount without reduction.

Customers will also benefit from competitive rates and a cashless claim option at One Moto locations, according to a statement from the firm.

Aditya Reddy, One Moto India Vice-President, Sales & Marketing, commented on the agreement, saying that the bulk of the customer base is new to EVs and needs additional support to make the transition from ICE (internal combustion engine) to EV.

"We've identified the need and are working with reputable organisations to meet it," he said, adding that "everything can be supplied to our discerning clients under one roof."

"With such significant demand and high EV adoption, we see a great possibility for us to be an enabler in the market," Royal Sundaram Country Head, Retail Agency - Key Partnerships KN Murali said, "We see a lot of scope for us to be a facilitator in the industry."

He went on to say that the company's contribution will be successful with the association with One Moto team as the country makes the prudent change towards e-mobility for a brighter and greener future. One Moto India currently offers three electric two-wheelers on the market: the Byka, Electa, and Commuta. It has established a partnership with Global Assure to provide convenient roadside assistance throughout India.
