Comparison between Vivo V9 vs Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro vs Oppo F7

As far as smartphones are concerned, 2018 has started on a big bang in India. Especially, the mid-range segment has been flooded with new devices. And in that regard, the OPPO F7, Vivo V9, and the Redmi Note 5 Pro are three smartphones that have been grabbing the headlines lately.

Since we have all the three phones with us, we decided to do an extensive comparison. So how do these phones do when they are stack up against each other? We know they have great design, but how would they execute functions when used in daily life? Let’s start by comparing the prices.

Price in India:

The Oppo F7 was recently launched in 2018 and at present is priced at Rs. 21,990 for its base model. The Vivo V9which was launched a few weeks ago has a price of Rs. 22,990. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro which was released in February 2018 costs Rs. 16,999 for its top model.

Display:

Both the Oppo F7 and the Vivo V9 are greatly inspired by the design of iPhone X, having a bezel-less display yet they have a notch on the top. The Oppo F7 has a wide 6.23-inch screen along with a density of 405 ppi while the Vivo V9 has a similar 6.3-inch widescreen with a pixel density of 400ppi.

Both the phones, Oppo F7 and Vivo V9 have a resolution of 1080×2280 pixels. The Redmi Note 5 Pro does not have the notch and has a simple 18:9 wide angle display on its standard 5.99-inch LCD display. The Note 5 Pro comes with a resolution of 1080×2160 pixels and a ppi density of 403. Both the Oppo F7 and Redmi Note 5 Pro sport Gorilla Glass protection for their display screens.

Performance and Battery Life:

The Oppo F7 comes with a MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core chipset while the Vivo V9 runs on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 2.2GHz processor. The Redmi Note 5 Pro, on the other hand, is equipped with the all-new Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core 1.8GHz Kryo 260 SoC.

The Oppo F7 and Vivo V9 offer 4GB RAM 64GB ROM configurations, with higher spec variants available. The Redmi Note 5 Pro offers 6GB RAM paired with 64GB internal storage. All three phones offer support for expandable memory up to 256GB via microSD card. As for battery life, the Oppo F7 comes with a 3400mAh cell, whereas the Vivo V9 is equipped with a 3260mAh battery. The Redmi Note 5 Pro’s battery has a capacity of 4000mAh, in comparison.

Camera:

The Oppo F7 comes with a 16MP f/1.8 primary camera, whereas the Vivo V9 has a dual camera (16MP+5MP) setup on the back. The Redmi Note 5 Pro offers a dual camera rear array as well, with a 12MP lens combined with a 5MP shooter so you can take pictures and experiment with depth of field.

On the front, the Opop F7 sports a 25mp selfie snapper, whereas the Vivo V9 almost matches it with its 24MP. The Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with a 20MP camera, in comparison.

Final Verdict:

Of the three, the Redmi Note 5 Pro is the best. It has a superior processor and excellent battery life as well.
