Google has introduced the price drop notifications feature in its Chrome web browser. Users will not have to refresh the page every day to check the price of any product. In a blog post Thursday, Google said users can sign up to receive an email or mobile notification from Chrome if there's a price drop.

In the US, this function is currently accessible on PC and Android devices.

"The next time you shop, select 'Price Tracker' in Chrome's address bar. You can manage the products you're tracking through the side panel or through notifications you receive," the blog post reads.

With the price drop notifications feature, users can instantly find discounts in their shopping cart. When you add items to your cart, Chrome will find available discount codes from the retailer and automatically display them at checkout.

"Simply open the New Tab page whenever you need to keep track of your current shopping carts and you'll see the discounts available there too. Both features are now available on desktop, starting with US first," the post added.

On desktop, users can right-click an image and then select "Search for an image with Google Lens" to get the results in the side panel. The results will show similar options from retailers and prices that fit the user's budget. Users will also be able to see if a product is in stock or reserved.

When users reach the checkout stage, Chrome will automatically fill in all the details with previously saved information, such as user addresses or Google Pay payment details. Chrome will now ask users each time they make a transaction if they want to save their previously saved information.
