Alipore is the most expensive and prestigious area of Kolkata. It is surrounded by abundant trees and is also home to the largest zoological park and a national library in India. The average property price here starts at Rs 13,000 per square foot.

Sector 5 (Chandigarh)

Sector 5 in Chandigarh is home to many ministers, bureaucrats, and big shots. Premium real estate prices in this region can reach Rs 45 crore.

Banjara Hills (Hyderabad)

Banjara Hills is located in the northwestern part of the city, It is the richest locality in Hyderabad. Premium properties in this upscale neighborhood can cost Rs 75 crore, while rents in this area can be as low as Rs 4.50 lakh a month.

Golf Links (New Delhi)

Golf Links is a short drive from Khan Market and is considered one of the most expensive areas to buy property in India. Rental prices at Golf Links can range from Rs 1 lakh to 10 lakh per month. Interestingly, Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma recently bought a property in the area for Rs 82 crore.

Malabar Hill (Mumbai)

Malabar Hill in South Mumbai is undoubtedly the most expensive area to live in India. It has been home to many notable residents such as Adi Godrej, Cyrus Broacha, Birla family, Shashi Ruia family, Pallonji Mistry, Jindal family, Petit family, Divecha family, etc. Actress Juhi Chawla and her husband Jay Mehta also own a beautiful ancestral home on Malabar Hill. Real estate in this area can be priced high at Rs 300 crore and above.
