COVID-19 Vaccination: The government of India announced on Monday that the vaccination campaign will be open to all above the age of 18 from May 1. As a result, all citizens of India over the age of 18 will be eligible to receive the coronavirus vaccine, regardless of comorbidities. The decision on the "Released and Accelerated Phase 3 Vaccination Strategy for COVID-19" was made after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's meeting with doctors.

The government announced that the vaccination campaign would be carried out as before. The coronavirus vaccines will be free at all government-run COVID centers, while private hospitals can "transparently" advertise a self-determined cost of the vaccine.

Phase 3 of the coronavirus vaccination for people over 18 years of age will begin on May 1.

The Third Stage of COVID-19 Vaccination: How to Register

• Visit the official CoWIN website: https://cowin.gov.in
• Enter your 10-digit mobile phone number or Aadhaar number
• You will receive an OTP on the mobile phone number, enter it in the space specified
• Once registered, select your preferred date and time
• Get your COVID-19 vaccine.

Subsequently, you will be given a reference ID with which you can obtain your vaccination certificate.

The third stage of vaccination against COVID-19: Required documents

You will need at least one of the following documents at check-in, along with photo identification

• Aadhaar card
• PAN card
• Voter ID
• Driving license
• Health insurance smart card issued by the Ministry of Labour
• Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment 
• Job card (MGNREGA)
• Official ID Cards Issued to MPs/ MLAs / MLCs
• Passport
• Passbook issued by bank/post office
• Pension document
• Service Identity Card Issued to Employees by Central/State Government / Public Corporations

The government said that the procurement and administration of coronavirus vaccines and eligibility have become flexible. According to the orders, the vaccine manufacturers will provide 50 percent of the monthly doses from their central drug laboratory to the Government of India and will be free to provide the remaining 50 percent of the doses to state governments and in the open market.
