New Delhi - Your PAN card is an important  KYC document and is essential for most financial transactions such as opening a bank account, investing in mutual funds, opening a Demat account, etc. In all of the above cases, an individual is required to quote his PAN number and provide a photocopy of his PAN card as proof of PAN number. Therefore, if your PAN card is lost, defaced, or misplaced, you can request another copy of your PAN card. This request can be submitted online.

However, the reprint is possible if the details mentioned in the PAN are not changed and are related to your Aadhaar. In addition, the reprint request can be submitted online by those whose last PAN request was processed through the NSDL e-Gov or who obtained a PAN using the "Instant e-PAN" facility on the E-filing portal of the Income Tax Department. The updated mobile phone number in the PAN and Aadhaar records must be identical. Otherwise, a request must be made to make the necessary changes.

The request can be submitted online by clicking https://onlineservices.nsdl. com/paam /ReprintEPan.html. Once you click on the link, an order form will open. You need to fill in details like PAN number, Aadhaar number, date of birth, etc. The applicant must also consent to the use of Aadhaar details in order to reprint the card. You must enter the verification code displayed on the screen to authenticate the transaction. Then your application form will be submitted online.

Charges for a reprint of PAN card

For dispatch of PAN card within India, Rs 50 to be paid as chargers and Rs 959 will be charged outside India (including tax).
