Xiaomi is a leading name in the world of smart-phones today. Among the various models that this manufacturer brings you, the Redmi Note 5 Pro and the Mi A2 are especially popular. Let us start with the performance of the two phones. The Xiaomi Mi A2 runs thanks to its octa-core processor of 2.2 GHz. The octa-core processor of Note 5 Pro, on the other hand, is 1.8 GHz. Mi A2 uses Snapdragon 660 processor while Note 5 Pro uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 636. This makes us believe that Mi A2 is comparatively faster in its performance. The first one is powered by a 3010 mAh battery and the second one by a 4000mAh. The operating softwares are Android 8.1 Oreo and Android One for Mi A2 and Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) for Note 5 Pro.

Mi A2 is available with an internal memory of 128GB and 6GB RAM and also with 64GB and 4/6GB RAM. The Redmi Note 5 Pro is available in only the variant of 64 GB and 4/6GB RAM. It, however, does not give you the option for expandable memory card unlike the Mi A2 which has a microSD card of up to 256GB capacity.

In terms of display, there is a lot of similarity between the two phones- both come with a 5.99-inch screen size and have a resolution of 1080x2160 pixels. Also, both of them have features like a gyroscope, a proximity sensor, an ambient light sensor, a compass and magnetometer, a barometer and a temperature sensor.
Mi A2 does not come with a headphone but Note 5 Pro has one of 3.5mm.
