Xiaomi is a leading name in the world of smart-phones today. Among the various models that this manufacturer brings you, the Redmi Note 5 Pro and the Mi A2 are especially popular. There are plenty of features that are offered by both these phones and people often get confused as to which one they should select.

Let us start with the performance of the two phones. The Xiaomi Mi A2 runs thanks to its octa-core processor of 2.2 GHz. The octa-core processor of Note 5 Pro, on the other hand, is 1.8 GHz. Mi A2 uses Snapdragon 660 processor while Note 5 Pro uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 636. This makes us believe that Mi A2 is comparatively faster in its performance. The first one is powered by a 3010 mAh battery and the second one by a 4000mAh.  The operating softwares are Android 8.1 Oreo and Android One for Mi A2 and Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) for Note 5 Pro.

The dimensions of the two phones are somewhat like this- lengths 158.7mm for Mi A2 and 158.6mm for the other one, thickness 7.3mm for the former and 8mm for the latter, the width of the both of the phones being 75.4mm.

Mi A2 is available with an internal memory of 128GB and 6GB RAM and also with 64GB and 4/6GB RAM. The Redmi Note 5 Pro is available in only the variant of 64 GB and 4/6GB RAM. It, however, does not give you the option for expandable memory card unlike the Mi A2 which has a microSD card of up to 256GB capacity.

There are a number of features to look for in the camera of both the phones such as Geo-tagging, face detection, touch focus, HDR and panorama. The primary camera of Mi A2 is 20 MP and that for Note 5 Pro it is 12 MP. It comes with a series of benefits like LED and phase detection autofocus. The other one boasts of its dual LED flash along with phase detection autofocus. The secondary camera has a specification of 20MP in both the cases.

There are some great connectivity options that each of the phones will offer you, such as wi-fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, wifi direct, hotspot and dual-band. Besides, Bluetooth, GPS, FM Radio and USB connectivity is possible in either of the models.

In terms of display, there is a lot of similarity between the two phones- both come with a 5.99-inch screen size and have a resolution of 1080x2160 pixels.  Also, both of them have features like a gyroscope, a proximity sensor, an ambient light sensor, a compass and magnetometer, a barometer and a temperature sensor.

Mi A2 does not come with a headphone but Note 5 Pro has one of 3.5mm.
