Google introduces the curated job search feature for India

Google has launched another India focused product with its job search feature under Google for Jobs. The company mentioned in the blog, that when you search for jobs near me or jobs for freshers, you will see in depth results that will allow you to explore the job opportunities from the web. They are working with different organizations across the industry which will bring you a comprehensive listing of jobs. These organizations include Shine.com, Quezx, IBM Talent Management Solutions, Aasaanjobs, Headhonchos, Freshersworld, LinkedIn, Wisdomjobs, T-Jobs and TimesJobs.

The user will see job postings that are relevant to him from across multiple sites including others from the company websites through open documentation. Currently, Job search on Google has more than a million listings across job types and industries from more than 90K employers in the country. The features of job search are:

The job search experience will be available in English and on the Search app in iOS and Android as well as in Google search on the mobile and the desktop. With 51 million Indian small and medium businesses creating over 110 million jobs annually, there is an ability to surface the jobs to a large pool of job seekers.

Google is spreading its footprints in India across all verticals. It recently introduced the voice assistant built for an Indian accent. The company’s most successful business in India is the digital payments platform, Google Tez.  It is a major contributor to the growth of UPI in India and is expected to touch $1 trillion by 2023. It has partnered with Airtel to bring low cost smartphones in the Indian market that will be powered by Google’s Android Oreo. Further, Google Maps has added voice navigation in six regional Indian languages in addition to Hindi and English.
