Tata Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) expects to earn revenues of about $1 billion each from several emerging technology segments over next three to seven years.
The largest information technology (IT) services firm in the country, TCS says these segments will be focused on new technology areas such as cyber security, internet of things (IoT), analytics of IoT, and cloud application and infrastructure. These are now merged into three broad groups.
The company expects 16 such new segments and sub-segments, including some existing ones that have shifted focus to digital, to be key drivers of growth, as customers concentrate resources in new areas.
“All these have revenue targets of varying degrees. Many have the ability to scale up to a billion-dollar business in three to seven years,” Krishnan Ramanujam, president, business and technology services, TCS, told Business Standard over the phone.
