Mukesh Ambanis Broadband Launch|Reliance Jio Fiber

Mukesh Ambani has recently launched its new Optic fiber-based broadband service on 5th September 2019. The data plans, it's pricing as well as the offers have already been announced for Reliance Jio Fiber. Jio's tariffs are lower than its competitors and it offers much higher speeds as well.

Reliance Jio launched its mobile services in the year 2016, and now three years forward it has launched wired broadband services all over the country. But, the tariffs are not as disruptive as those of the mobile services which at the time of launch were below the operational cost. Some of its competitors are BSNL and Bharti Airtel along with various other smaller competitors. Setting up a wired broadband connection is a tedious task as there is a need to install fiber or copper wire that should reach the customer's home or the place of connection. It will not be up to the customer to decide for changing the connection but Jio has to assess and analyze whether or not its fiber will reach the area of the customer.

Jio plans to reach more than 20 million homes and 15 million corporate offices all over India, and the target is to be reached within 12 months from the launch. Akash Ambani, The director of Reliance Jio Infocomm, said in a statement, “The launch of Jio Fiber, with its revolutionary services is just the beginning of a new and exciting journey. As always, we will continue working hard to bring more such amazing services to your home and take Jio Fiber to the next level”.

The monthly tariffs of Jio's broadband services start from Rs. 699 per month and the speed limits will range from 100 Mbps to 1Gbps. Other things offered include free voice calling in India, OTT streaming apps, unlimited data, and video conferencing services and so much more. Other offers may include the following:


- Free 4k set-top box along with an annual subscription. The Jio set-top box has all gaming controllers so that the user can play as many video games as they wish to.

  - Free 4k television sets along with big purchases such as Gold and higher.

A unique feature of the Jio network is that the user can share their wifi with their guests by separate Network Ids. Hence, there will not be a risk of your original Id getting hacked by anyone.

Jio Fiber will also offer a landline connection along with the broadband service. This landline connection can also be used as an Intercom by the users.

To apply for the service, the first step is to register at the official website of Jio Fibre broadband service. After the completion of the registration, you will get a call from a representative of Jio Fiber for installing the broadband. The customer will have to make a one-time payment of Rs. 2500 that includes the refundable security deposit of Rs. 1500 and a non-refundable fee of Rs. 1000 for Installation.
