Eknath Shinde Introduces Ladla Bhai Yojana: What You Need to Know

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has launched the 'Ladla Bhai Yojana' for boys, following the introduction of the 'Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana' for girls. The 'Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana' provides eligible women with a monthly financial assistance of Rs 1,500.

During a speech in Pandharpur on Ashadhi Ekadashi, Shinde stated that the state government does not differentiate between boys and girls. He emphasized that the 'Ladla Bhai Yojana' aims to address unemployment issues in the state.


What is Ladla Bhai Yojana and who benefits?

The Ladla Bhai Yojana is designed for Maharashtra's youth who have completed the 12th grade. As per Jagran Josh, the stipend will change depending on the qualifications of the recipients, as mentioned by a Department of Skills, Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation official.

In this program, students who have finished 12th grade will be given a monthly amount of Rs 6,000. At the same time, students with a diploma will get Rs 8,000 monthly, whereas graduates will receive Rs 10,000 monthly.

Additionally, as per India TV, young people will have the chance to participate in a one-year apprenticeship at a factory, which will provide them with important job experience to enhance their job prospects.

According to the report, CM Shinde stated that the goal of this program is to train a competent labor force. He pointed out that this is the initial occasion in which any government has implemented this kind of program, as stated by Free Press Journal.

What is Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana and who benefits?

Eligible women aged 21 to 60 will receive a monthly allowance of Rs 1,500 under the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.

The program focuses on promoting the holistic growth and empowerment of women, which includes financial autonomy, self-sufficiency, healthcare, and proper nutrition.

Pawar announced during the budget presentation that Rs 46,000 crore will be allocated annually for this scheme starting in July.
