Amazon Web Services, a leader in cloud computing, revealed a 230 million USD pledge to help speed up the progress of innovative artificial intelligence software by new companies across the globe.

The program will offer startup companies AWS cloud computing credits, mentorship, and education to enhance their use of AI and machine learning technologies, according to the company.

Amazon's move comes at a time when major tech companies are facing more antitrust scrutiny for potentially limiting competition in the growing AI industry.

At the beginning of this year, the Federal Trade Commission began investigating the investment activities of big tech companies in AI startups, asking for more details from firms such as AWS.

The European Union and British regulators are also investigating collaborations between AI companies and their large tech partners in the United States.
