Flipkart launches metaverse shopping platform: How to shop in Flipverse

Walmart-owned Flipkart has launched a metaverse-based shopping platform. The platform, called Flipverse, will allow users to interactively discover and purchase products. Currently, the service will be available to 15 brands, including clothing brand Puma, cosmetics and personal care brand Nivea, and homegrown electronics brand Noise.

Flipverse is now on the Flipkart app for Android smartphone users. The beta will be available until October 23. This is how to enter and shop in Flipverse.

Step 1- Go to https://firedrops.flipkart.com/qr-page.html on your computer

Step 2- Here, click "Enter Flipverse" and then scan the code displayed on the laptop screen with your Android phone

Step 3 – You will now be redirected to the FireDrops app. Select a username of your choice here.

Step 4 – Press the Menu button and then choose Flipverse

Step 5 – Your avatar will be entered into the Flipkart metaverse. Here you can see on your screen products from Noise, Ajmal Perfumes and Puma, among other brands.

Step 6- Use the on-screen controls to move around the Flipverse.

Step 7 – Click on the products you want to learn more about. The platform also allows you to check any offers or discounts available on the merchant's website.

Announcing Flipverse, Naren Ravula, Vice President, Head of Product Strategy and Implementation, Flipkart Labs said: “The launch of Flipverse will continue to impact innovative industries like e-commerce and enhance the customer experience while delivering a richer experience. enjoyable and immersive shopping. experience, particularly in light of the adoption of metaverse and web3 platforms by multiple brands in India.”

In another related story, Flipkart announced the extension of the "Diwali Sale". The second edition of the Flipkart Big Diwali sale will resume from October 19 to 23. For Flipkart Plus members, the sale will start today at midnight. In the sale, there will be an instant 10% discount on SBI credit card transactions and EMI transactions. The e-retailer has partnered with Paytm to offer instant 10% cash back via Paytm Wallet and UPI transactions.
