Every industry has so many success stories of women who are determined to dream and pursue their dreams both in their personal and professional lives. Not only they make a house a home; but are successfully running a lot of corporate’s and businesses and taking them to great heights.
A woman has to juggle between a lot of roles to be able to combine her home and career. It requires lots of efforts, a strong will power and most importantly a conviction to step out of their comfort zone and work hand in hand with their male counterparts. Luckily, the work and the business environment have changed considerably and there is a lot of potential that can be capitalized. Known and recognized for their qualities like compassion, collaboration, eye for detailing, persistence, networking, patience and so on help them build the right work environment. On the top of it, with the increasing number of women stepping ahead; professional women are gaining more and more confidence, skills and the requisite training in their specific fields. Looking at all of this, it has been rightly quoted that the topics like women empowerment, women entrepreneurship, working women professionals etc. have become the research and discussion topics globally!
Talking specifically about women entrepreneurs, gone are those days when women entrepreneurs were only known for their expertise in handbags and apparels. From Kirthiga Reddy, Managing Director, Facebook India to Indra Nooyi, CEO, Pepsico there is a long list of women entrepreneurs who have earned a position for themselves both within the country and abroad. You talk about banking, real estate, FMCG, telecom, textiles, education, tourism, automobile, etc.; women entrepreneurs have won laurels and recognition for their leadership qualities and out of the box business ideas. In fact a lot of women entrepreneurs entered their specific industries at a time when there was only a handful of women in them and now they are the role models for many. The belief of bringing their thoughts and ideas into action and working towards achieving them is what their success mantra is. Passion gives birth to your dreams and a successful entrepreneur is the one who doesn’t stop till that dream is achieved. Chanda Kochhar, CEO, ICICI Bank Limited in an interview on her work life balance once shared that “You often feel as if you are walking a tightrope" and the statement stands very true in the life of a women entrepreneur. With so many hats to wear, there are a lot of challenges that come in their way, but a winner is the one who finds solutions for all of them.
From giving a new dimension to a lot of startups to representing the country globally at an age early age of 30-35 to taking on a world trip independently to managing the entire household; women are everywhere. It is a matter of great pride that we are moving in the right direction of empowering women and recognizing their dedication in paving the way for the future leaders.
