Westin Hotels & Resorts opens first Goa property with 171 Keys

The Westin Hotels & Resorts, a luxury hotel chain owned by Marriott International, announced the opening of its first property in Goa on Monday.

The new hotel consists of 171 guestrooms and suites, as well as luxurious patio rooms. With this opening, Westin now operates a total of nine properties in Goa, Gurgaon, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Pushkar, and Sohna-Gurgaon.

Neeraj Jouvel, senior vice president of operations for APEC (Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation), Marriott International said "The opening of this hotel marks Westin's ninth property in India, demonstrating the market's appetite for the brand and its growing presence in major tourism and leisure destinations in the Asia Pacific region."



Located within easy access to the major tourist attractions, The Westin Goa is aimed at beach lovers who enjoy both the luxury and party life that the coastal state has to offer. Goa - Dabolim International Airport is approximately a 40-minute drive from the hotel, making it easily accessible from other regional and international destinations.

In terms of food and beverage offerings, the property includes The Market, an all-day restaurant offering healthy culinary options with live stations serving local and international dishes. The hotel will also have a drift, a poolside bar, and a restaurant and lobby bar called Haven, where guests can sample different types of drinks. Anjuna Coffee & Co. a deli and also a patisserie will serve guests of the property.

It will have a gym, spa, and Family Kids Club for the children's activity area.

The Westin Goa has over 14,000 square feet of event space and houses a grand ballroom with separate meeting spaces for weddings, social events, conferences, or corporate gatherings.

Worldwide, Westin Hotels & Resorts operates 225 hotels and resorts in nearly 40 countries.
