Cognizant to acquire Tin Roof Software to expand digital engineering services

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp. has signed an agreement to acquire Tin Roof Software, an Atlanta-based digital product, and software development services company, to expand its digital engineering services capabilities.

The deal is expected to close in the second half of 2020. Financial details were not disclosed.

The acquisition is expected to expand the Cognizant’s software product engineering footprint in the United States and connect Tin Roof experts with Cognizant's broader global software development capabilities.

"Tin Roof offers software design, development, DevOps, and delivery services for clients increasingly dependent on software for a competitive edge," Cognizant said in a statement.

Tin Roof operates in a variety of industries, including telecommunications, media, entertainment, financial services, retail and hospitality, consumer products, travel, logistics, and transportation.
