The Apple iPhone 6s Smartphone line had gone on sale originally in the month of September 2015 but was discontinued in September 2018 with the launch of the previous year’s iPhones. But still, Apple had continued the production of some models of the Apple iPhone 6s for sale in selected markets, including India.
This repair program is the sixth program for Apple this year, according to the Apple website. At the start of this year, Apple had opened repair programs for the old 15-inch MacBook Pro’s battery, some wall adapters, the 13-inch MacBook Pro display backlight, MacBook keyboards, and screens on the Apple Watch Series 2 and Series 3.
However, while Apple had admitted that the fault had occurred due to some issues with a certain component, it didn't provide a reasonable explanation about that faulty component. "Apple has determined that certain iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus devices may not power on due to a certain component that may have failed working," Apple wrote on its support page.
