Diwali 2018 : Gold ETFs, Bonds and Sovereign bond to be traded.

At present, the stock exchanges NSE and BSE have finally taken a decision to encompass the trading session for gold exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and independent gold bonds (SGB) on November 5, till 7 pm on the festive season of Dhanteras, an occasion two days ago Diwali.

Gold ETFs track the metals prices and each unit of these securities is generally equivalent to one gram of gold, while SGB is government safeties reduced in grams of gold and even that offers an option to carrying out the gold in physical form.

The exchanges will hold a muhurat trading meeting on account of Diwali LaxmiPujan on November 7 from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm, BSE and NSE said in distinct signs. "On the favorable time of Dhanteras on Monday, November 5, 2018, the exchange has come to decide finally to conduct a prolonged live trading session in Gold ETF safeties and SGB securities in the equity sector," BSE told.

Independently, National Stock Exchange (NSE) also stated about prolonged trading sessions on Dhanteras. After the steady market hours from 9:15 am to 3:30 pm, trading in gold ETFs and SGB will continue at 4:30 pm on November 5 and carry on till 7 pm, the exchanges told.
