Founded in Korea in 1958, LG today has made it big in the Smartphone Market. It launched its first Android smartphone in 2009, and since then they have not looked back.
Its flagship G series of smartphones are hugely popular in the market and it launched its Signature Edition (2018) smartphone in July 2018. Here’s everything that you have to know about the edition.

In terms of design, it looks almost similar to the last LG Signature Edition, the LG V30, and LG V35 ThinQ. The phone comes with a 6.00-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1440 pixels by 2880 and pixels-per-inch density of 538. This provides a crisp and clear picture when coupled with HDR10 tech to make for an exceptional display.
The Snapdragon 835 is still a fast processor, but LG has gone overboard with the Snapdragon 845 in its Signature Edition. The Snapdragon 845 is this year’s number-one processor and it would have been unusual for this very pricey phone to have been made without it.
You can expect a very smooth and lag-free performance by the Smartphone, all thanks to the octa-core chipset and 6GB of RAM. The phone packs 256GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 2000GB via a microSD card. The upgraded processor has the option to expand storage by up to 2TB of MicroSD card.
Those premium flagship specs are backed up by a 3,300mAh battery. It’s going to be Android Oreo on the phone and we imagine that Android 8.1 Oreo will make an appearance. The Signature Edition is a single SIM (GSM) smartphone that accepts a Nano-SIM. Connectivity options that come along with it include 4G with VoLTE support, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802,11 a/b/g/n/ac, and an USB Type-C port. Sensors on the Smartphone include the Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Compass/ Magnetometer, Ambient light sensor and a Gyroscope.
As far as the cameras are concerned, it comes packed with a 16-megapixel rear camera and a secondary 8-megapixel front shooter for selfies. You’ll find a pair of 16-megapixel lenses with a f/1.6 aperture and a smaller f/1.9 aperture, but a wide angle 107-degree wide-angle lens.
To sum up, the LG Signature Edition (2018) is power-packed with exciting features. It flaunts a 6-inch Full HD+ display and is powered by an octa-core chipset which is coupled with 6GB of RAM. It comes with dual 16+5MP rear and an 8MP front-facing camera. There is a 3,300mAh battery underneath and the smartphone packs 256GB of expandable internal storage space.
LG is currently only selling the Signature Edition (2018) in Korea, and there are only 300 units available. Pre-sales for this super-special edition have begun on July 30, and the phone releases 30th September 2018 in India with an expected price tag of 32,999!
