Ivanka Trump to visit India in support of women entrepreneurship

Ivanka mentioned in a tweet on Sunday that she was honored to lead the US delegation to #GES2017 in India and meet the Prime Minister as well as passionate entrepreneurs from the globe.

Ivanka Trump, daughter of US President Donald Trump will be leading the American delegation at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in the country, starting from November 28. In a tweet on Thursday, Trump said, “Ivanka Trump will lead the US delegation to India this fall, supporting women’s entrepreneurship globally”. Prime Minister Narendra Modi made the announcement few hours before Trump on Twitter. The summit will be co-hosted by India and United States in Hyderabad from November 28 to 30. In his tweet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote, “Look forward to Ms Ivanka Trump’s presence at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2017 Hyderabad, as the leader of the US delegation. A decision in this regard was taken when Trump and Modi held their first meeting at the White House in June. Ivanka, 35, is also the advisor to the US president has emerged as a strong advocate of women and child issues. 

The three day entrepreneurship summit will begin on 28th November. Thousands of applications have been received to be a part of the Global summit. The organizers say they can accommodate only 400 entrepreneurs from India, 800 from the United States and the rest of the world. Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the conference and mentioned that he looked forward to hosting the US delegation in Hyderabad. The theme of the conference for this year is “Women First, Prosperity for all.”
