Nissan enters the pre-owned car market in India

Nissan Motor, the Japanese car maker launched its pre-owned car business in India as a part of its efforts to tap the fast growing segment across the country. Known as Nissan Intelligent Choice, it is designed for the customers looking for tested and certified quality pre owned cars with an optimum value. It will also offer a platform for the buyers owning multi brand cars to exchange the same with a new Datsun and Nissan car.

The pre-owned car market in the country is growing at a significant rate and there is a huge potential in the business. Nissan Intelligent Choice is Nissan’s global business model for the pre-owned cars and after its success in South Africa and Brazil, the company is looking forward to launch it in India as well. This initiative will be operational across 10 key cities which include Bengaluru, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Noida, Kolkata, Jaipur, Ludhiana and Guwahati. However, the customers can avail any of the after sales service at 160 Nissan authorized workshops in the country.

As per this initiative, every pre owned car will go through a thorough quality check of 167 points and inspection of the vehicle. Besides, all the cars from Nissan Intelligent Choice will also be tested and certified by the technical experts of the company. This initiative is seen as a welcome change for the auto industry. With a double digit growth in the pre-owned car market, it will be easier for the buyers to purchase quality checked and tested cars from the authorized dealers.
