Last year that is in November 2018, the online portal named Kaveri Online Services was launched by the Government of Karnataka. The online system will calculate the approximate market value for the property and after the completion of the whole process, the payable stamp duty can also be calculated at the same online portal.

Citizens can just key in all the details related to a property being bought or sold, upload the documents and submit an application online. The Kaveri online services server will calculate the market value determined by the government and the application then goes to sub-registrar.

Once the value of the property and application is being approved by the sub-registrar, the citizens can pay the applicable stamp duty and registration fee online. They can also book an appointment with the concerned sub-registrar then and there.

The citizens can obtain Encumbrance Certificate (EC) of fixed properties and Certified Copies (CC) of registered documents via Kaveri online services.

The easy and hassle-free registration process is one of the most people-friendly reform and the best aid given by the Department of Stamps and Registration of Karnataka under the leadership of Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, Revenue Minister R V Deshpande and Inspector General of Registrations and Commissioner of Stamps K V Thrilok Chandra at Vidhana Soudha, the state secretariat.
